Tips and Tricks for Modern Warfare 3 |
|
![]() Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 can be aggravating sometimes when things just don’t go your way and it seems like everyone is killing you no matter what you do. Below are some tips and tricks that can help you become better or help you with your game.
Tactical Insertion
Tac Insertions can be a helpful tool that lets you spawn where ever you place it. If you’ve ever played MW3 you obviously know this but what you might not know is that whichever way you face is where the direction you spawn in. Let’s say that you’re facing a wall and place a Tac that’s the way you’re going to face when you spawn. So instead of placing a Tac into a wall place it facing the action or facing an easy escape route.
Bomb Planting
Planting a bomb whether it is in Search and Destroy or Demolition can be a risky task that not many want to do. If you ever go to plant the bomb there are things you can do to help you survive the 6 or 7 seconds of button holding. The first thing you can do is follow people in to the bomb so you have cover and they can take the hit while you plant. Another thing you can do is turn into the bomb. Turning into the bomb lowers the amount of body showing to enemies and allows you to keep planting without giving them more to shoot. The last thing is whichever way you face when you plant is the way you’re going to be facing when you’re done planting. So face the way you want to dart before you plant so you have an available escape route.
Support
Support is a new type of killstreak option for players who can’t get things going. When you die with support your killstreaks roll over until you reach that killstreak. Use support when you’re having trouble getting things off of the ground because Support has some great killstreaks that can really help out your team when they need it.
Try Out Different Weapons
There are so many different weapons on MW3 so you don’t have to stick to one. Some weapons aren’t meant for you so try out a weapon that fits your fighting style. For instance if you’re a rusher don’t use a light machine gun or sniper rifle instead use a submachine gun or assault rifle.
Movement
Moving around is key because if you stay in one spot too long people will catch on and find you. The rule I follow is kill 3 people and find a new spot. This helps me keep my kills up while not letting the enemy know where I am or where I’m hiding.
No Spray No Pray
Spraying and Praying sounds like a good idea but in most cases it’s not. Be accurate and on point with your shots because grazing people doesn’t get them killed. The only time spraying and praying is good is when there’s smoke and you can’t see or if you’re in close quarters and can’t move around as fast when you’re aiming down sights.
Think Before You shoot
This rule is a basic one but it’s also one that people tend to forget. If you’re sitting waiting for people to appear in front of you and two just randomly run by don’t panic shoot because it’s likely they didn’t see you if they ran past. The thing you should do is wait for a second or two and then shoot the one that’s furthest back because if you shoot the one that’s ahead of the other he will see the bullets from behind and kill you.
Follow the Leader
When the match first starts there are people that just go out and try to kill as many people as they can before they die and what you should do is not try to beat them to it but follow them. Following a rusher can help you because they act as bait when no one else is around. All you have to do is watch them go down and follow where the bullets came from.
Cars Are Your Friend
Call of Duty Physics
Call of Duty doesn’t run on real world physics which is a good thing and a bad one as well. If you’re ever running along and you see a predator coming and you have the option jump a wall or a piece of plywood, take that opportunity and jump on the other side of it. Believe it or not plywood makes for a good blast shield when you need it.
The Juggy Problem
Whenever someone hears that the enemy has juggy armor they sometimes cringe or run away from it because they know that it takes a lot to take them down. If you want that juggy gone you need to go after it head on. You can either team up on it with teammates or you can throw a semtex at it and follow the semtex with bullets to the chest and face.
Be Realistic When Setting Killstreaks
Get to Know Your Spawns
Knowing your spawns is key to any game because it gives you the advantage of surprise. If you know where the enemy is going to spawn then go to it or sit right outside of the spawn and get them as they’re leaving. People get angry when you do this but it’s a part of the game so if they don’t like it they can try to kill you, leave, or get over it.
When In Doubt Camp It Out
If you’re playing Search and you haven’t got a clue of where the enemy is just camp it out until you find out or they pass. I’ve used this method plenty of time and sure its not going to make you any friends but it gets the job done that’s required. Another thing about search is if you’re defending you don’t have to run around like a mad man because they, the enemy, has to come to you so just wait for them and great them with lead.
These are some tips and tricks I found useful when playing MW3 and they helped me when I needed them. Not all of these work all of the time and they won’t turn you into a CoD monster but they can help you if you’re ever in a situation that requires the use of them. |
