Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

Uncharted 3 Drake’s Deception is the third addition of the Uncharted series made by Naughty Dog. Every Uncharted game has delivered an AMAZING story mode and cut scenes and this one is no exception. Whenever someone asks if the game is good I have to respond with something like “is the sky blue?” because they shouldn’t have to ask if they know what Uncharted is and if they’ve played any of the game.

 PLOT/GAMEPLAY

The story starts out with Nathan “Nate” Drake and Victor “Sully” Sullivan meeting with Talbot in a bar or pub in London, England to make a deal for Sir Francis Drake’s ring. Nate and Sully accuse Talbot of giving them counterfeit money and have to fight through is people to get out of the bar or pub. Nate and Sully end up in an alleyway, where they are surrounded by Talbot’s people and they steal the ring from them.

Nate tries to chase after her, but she shoots at him and Sully and seems to kill them (Close but no cigar). The story makes a 20 year flash back to when Nate was a teenager. He goes to a museum in Cartagena, Colombia to find Sir Francis’ ring, but is thrown out after some guards suspect that he’s a thief.(I guess stealing and finding treasures was in him at an early age.)

Now back in the present, it’s revealed that the meeting was a sophisticated set up by Nate and Sully to get closer to Marlowe. With the help of Chloe (who was first introduced in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves), they trace Marlowe’s car to a library, where they manage to retrieve a notebook and a map showing Sir Francis Drake’s secret voyage to Arabia, where he was employed by Queen Elizabeth  to search for the lost city of Ubar.

Nate and Sully uncover terrible secrets of the lost city. During Nate’s endeavor he is tested both mentally and physically and is forced to face some of his deepest fears in order to complete his quest and find the “Atlantis of Sands”.

This is by far the best third person shooter I’ve ever played and I can play it for days without getting bored of it. I absolutely love this game. Enough about me and my opinions for now and more about the game.

OVERVIEW

In all honesty this game is PS3s answer to Gears of War, in my opinion, and I think that they blew Gears of War out of the water. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone with a PS3 because you will not be disappointed. In other words if you own a PS3 then you have to own this game because without it your game stockpile or collection is not complete. (Can you guys tell I LOVE this series?)
